Traveling Intentionally

Bali’s popular for good reason — stunning landscapes, rich culture, and plenty to do. While it can feel touristy at times, that doesn’t stop us from taking care in how we explore and engage. Tourism is how many Balinese people make their living so we’re doing our best to be mindful guests.

We made an active effort to book Balinese or Indonesian owned businesses for most of our tours, activities, and accommodations wherever possible. Yes we’re here to party, but we're also aiming for a well-rounded adventure that shows all sides of Bali. Our goal is to appreciate the nature, culture, and events to the fullest and make the most of our time together.

After nomading for 3 years, this is our tried-and-true way to travel. And with a big group it’s all the more reason to keep it fun and thoughtful! We're sure you all already know this anyway, but here's a quick cheat sheet into how we can keep it classy while we celebrate.

Respecting local culture

Being mindful of temples, ceremonies, and traditions as part of everyday life, not just for tourism.

Supporting local

Choosing Balinese or Indonesian operated food, drivers, and activities wherever possible (many of these are already built into our itinerary).

Leave no trace

No trash left behind, staying on paths, and being mindful in fragile natural spaces.

Travel in shoulder season

Our timing helps reduce stress on infrastructure while giving locals a more balanced flow of income.

Minimizing plastic

Doing our best to reduce single-use plastics where we can.

Tipping thoughtfully

Supporting the community by tipping when appropriate. Tourism income supports livelihoods, and this makes sure our experience gives back directly to the people who make it possible.
